☀️ Sunlight and Colors
A Rainbow of Light! The light from the Sun looks white but it’s actually made of all the colors of the rainbow! Yes, really! 🌈 like Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet When sunlight passes through a glass prism (like a crystal or raindrop), it splits up into these colors, making a rainbow! But when this rainbow light hits the sky, something cool happens. Let’s see how it becomes a blue sky!

💨 Air and Tiny Particles
Air, Tiny Particles and Bouncing Light The Earth’s sky is full of tiny things — water droplets, dust and gases (mostly nitrogen and oxygen). When sunlight hits the Earth, it collides with these tiny particles in the air and the light scatters or bounces in all directions.

But here’s the trick: Blue light scatters way more than other colors! 🌐
🔵 Why Blue Scatters More
Blue light has very short waves (wavelengths) while red and orange light has longer ones. Because blue has shorter waves, it gets bounced around by the particles in the air more easily.

So when you look up, you’re seeing that scattered blue light coming from all directions! That’s why the sky looks blue no matter where you look. 🌍
🌅 What About Sunrise and Sunset?

At sunrise and sunset you might notice the sky turns into beautiful colors like orange, pink and purple.🎨 Here’s why: When the Sun is low, its light has to travel through a thicker layer of atmosphere, which scatters blue light away. This lets red and orange light reach our eyes directly! That’s why we get those amazing sky colors at dawn and dusk! 🌄🌇
